The Journal of Tropical Research is setup to encourage and promote academic research conducted in or regrading phenomena occurring in tropical countries. This electronic publication has the potential to radically alter the way that scientific information about the tropics is being perceived and received. We intend to establish a high-quality, peer reviewed, multi-disciplinary, open access, scientific journal that will be distributed electronically.
The journal of Tropical Research invites scientists, researchers and investigators whose work revolve around or are related to investigations, observations and research work in tropical countries to submit their work to our journal.
In establishing this journal, we have the following goals:
Free access to scientific articles for individuals. At least for the first year, the electronic version of the journal will be distributed at no cost over the internet. (In the future, we may have to charge a minimal subscription fee, but hopefully not). The noncommercial reproduction of articles for educational and research purposes will be explicitly permitted.
Greatly reduced time to publication.
Exploring new capabilities provided by the electronic medium
Increased visibility for tropical science and research
